Healthcare is an inherently difficult industry. It can be even more challenging to learn a specific office's procedures. I was approached by MORE Chiropractic and Rehabilitation to make a short onboarding training with an assessment for their new assistants. The focus was to frontload the details of their treatments and document the  breadth of responsibilities of the position in preparation for the initial job-shadowing.  

I landed on Articulate Rise as my platform of choice due to the accessible nature of the platform and the ease of implementation. There wasn't as big of a need for more intricate interactions in the learning module because new assistants would be practicing during their job shadow. I was able to storyboard a short learning module with 10 question assessment that would only take around an hour to complete. I also included media elements to showcase content in a visual manner to get the new assistants familiar with the look of certain equipment and treatment set-ups.

Results were extremely well-received by the client and early reports indicate that the office was able to cut down its supervised training time for new assistants from 3 days, down to 2, saving the client on having to pay two employees during that span. A survey of new assistants exhibited more confidence and satisfaction in their job compared to metrics before implementation.
